What are eating disorders?
When you have an eating disorder, you ignore your physical needs for food. Often you don't really take other needs in your life seriously. Eating disorders can be divided into different types.
Typical of anorexia is a pronounced fear of gaining weight, the feeling of being fat and misshapen even though you are underweight, and the desire to lose weight.
Typical for bulimia is that if what you ate was too much for your terms, you try to get rid of it by vomiting. Or you take laxatives or dehydrators. Or you can do excessive exercise after dinner to stomp off calories.
Typical for binge eating are uncontrolled eating fits (eating attacks, eating orgies or whatever you call them) - maybe every day, maybe every few weeks.
Even healthy food is not always as healthy as you think. Namely not when it becomes a compulsion to eat healthy food always and everywhere.
What can I learn by dancing?
Couples dance has many advantages: you come among people, you learn to feel your body well and much more. Even if you still think you can't dance. You decide which role you want to dance. Because whether you prefer to lead or follow has nothing to do with your gender.
I'm lonely - what to do?
You think you're too shy? Then you probably - without wanting to - do some things to keep it that way. Maybe you're also easily offended by other people's reactions. In overcoming shyness, it helps to accept a few things.
What is sexism?
Something is sexist when someone devalues you or treats you badly because you have a certain gender - that is, because you are a man or a woman, or because you are a boy or a girl. People can be sexist for a variety of reasons. But there are good reasons why you'd better not be sexist. You can do something about sexist sayings. You can also offer your help to others who suffer from sexism. If sexism happens to you in a group or at work, you can do something about it. Nobody has the right to treat you badly or to dictate your private life because you are a man or a woman. No one but yourself, for example, may determine how often you have sex as a woman or as a man.
