Sexuality: facts and tips / Sex tips and exercises for women and all vulva & vagina owners:
When you move during sex, you feel more. The sex feels more pleasant and you enjoy it more. You can also get more aroused toward orgasm during sexual intercourse.
Tense sex can lead to problems
To be sexually aroused, the muscles in your body need to work. Many women tense the muscles in the stomach, buttocks, pelvic floor, thighs and perhaps in the rest of the body during sex and masturbation a lot. This can lead to problems: unpleasant feelings, pain, effort, lack of pleasure and more. You can read more about the effects of high muscular tension during sex in this text.
Movement is tension and relaxation
When we are relaxed, we feel more, it is more pleasant, we enjoy more and we feel better. So does that mean you're just supposed to relax during sex? No: Then your sexual arousal falls asleep, so to speak. It needs a little muscle tone. By doing what? The solution is to move. When you move your body, certain muscles work and their antagonists relax. This means that you tense some muscles and relax other muscles at the same time.
Moving means feeling pleasure
If you move parts of your body during sex, the blood flow is better there. Where more blood flows, you perceive touches more intensely and more pleasurably. This is especially important during sexual intercourse or if you take a finger or a dildo into the vagina. You will feel lots more when you move your pelvis and when you play with the pelvic floor muscles. You might want to check out this text on pelvic floor training for women for sex as well.
Movement is pleasurable
We need relaxation to feel comfortable. When we're tense, we feel fear, anger, disgust, shame… We see ourselves and others with a more critical eye. We're more likely to start ruminating, too. When you move during sex, you calm these thoughts and experience more pleasant feelings. You can feel the feelings of love that you have for your partner much better than when you are very tense.
Movement moisturizes and is good against pain
When you move during sex, the vagina is better supplied with blood. It makes it moister. And it can become really wide and roomy, so that a penis or dildo feels good in it. Movement is good for preventing pain during sexual intercourse, as well.
Movement makes for a more intense orgasm
When you move your body during sex, you feel it more. You will not only feel the arousal in one small area of your body; it can flow through your entire body so that you experience the orgasm not only in your genitals, but up to your head and down to your feet.
Movement makes you more confident during sex
When your vagina is better supplied with blood, you'll feel it more. You can imagine something better then. Maybe you're thinking of it as some kind of cave that wants to take something in. Then you'll feel more like having sex. When you move your body during sex, you are not just passive, you actively participate.
Imagine you're a cat
If a cat wants to be stroked, you only have to hold out your hand: She strokes the hand so that the hand can remain unmoved. Through her movements she gets exactly the strokes she wants. You can also get the desired strokes during sex: You can move your genitals, by moving your pelvis, to get your strokes. If you masturbate, you can also just hold out your hand or sex toy and rub your genitals against it, squeeze and so on.
