Is chronic marijuana use known to cause PE/RE? I understand that chronic marijuana use can lead to low seratonin levels which can contribute to PE. I have also noticed that I can last longer immediately after smoking which may correlate with the acute increase in seratonin from smoking.

Not everything is known yet about the mode of action of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol = the active substance in marijuana). What is known is that it binds to the body's CB1 and CB2 receptors. And that THC leads to the release of dopamine.
Since the cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) are found in many areas of the brain and perform many functions, the effects of cannabis are quite varied. One aspect of it is: the intensity of moods and emotions increases, sometimes up to the level of euphoria. Many users feel relaxed, sometimes giddy. Problem awareness and the drive to solve problems also decrease. These factors most likely explain why sex feels more relaxed when you're high and why some men can last longer. In fact, the same effect has been observed with small amounts of alcohol. However, one must not forget that there are also negative effects with both THC and alcohol. So all in all, THC is not recommended as a means to improve your sex life!
It is better if you change something about your sexuality yourself instead of relying on a substance. This way you stay independent, feel more and have no side effects. You can find out how to do that in this chapter.
